king smp :
Anybody have any ideas why my advanced control in V7 doesnt run and no icon in the taskbar but it is doing points and the web control is okay?
I tried reisntalling twice.
OC on card and CPU is stable
Yah, you were having the fahcontrol.exe error before, weren't you?
These problems are always caused by errors in the binary in RAM.
There are 4 basic things that can cause that sort of problem.
They are:
1) A bad/scrambled exe file (we tried that, that wasn't it)
2) Data being scrambled as it is loaded into RAM from the disk.
3) RAM failing and corrupting its data.
4) Your power supply just barely deals with the load and sometimes drops too low.
The problem has to be 2) , 3), or 4) since we already tried 1).
Here is what I suggest first. Remove the CPU overclock and see how it does for a couple of days. Remember, when you overclock your CPU you are also overclocking your RAM and there may be a spot on your RAM that won't take that speed. Also, overclocking increases the clock to the disk controller and it may not be able to take it. Thirdly, overclocking places more stress on the power supply. I have experienced all 3 of these problems in the past. All this depends on what board you have. So, lets check out the overclocking first, just because it's stable doesn't mean it's going to work and just because your power supply was enough last week doesn't mean it is enough now, they deteriorate over time.
You know, I just recalled an issue that sometimes occurs in the fall. The computer is placed in a location where hot air from the furnace or a heater causes it to run hotter than it did during the summer when the air conditioning was on. Could that have something to do with your situation? It's a little odd but I have actually run into it twice in the past.
There is actually an even more rare problem that can be going on but, lets try the more likely stuff first.
Anyway, remove the overclock and see if the machine becomes stable and we'll go from there.

P.S. "@king smp: You have the v7 control program working, but not the interface, fully. Check your slots to be sure the gpu's are starting at 0, with the cpu slot numbers, higher."
Oh yah, I forgot about that one. I was thinking strictly hardware because of the original problem.
