I didn't want to say until it did its first boot, but since that was successful...

It is an Intel 2P E5-2695v2, so 2 x 12 Core, 2.3 GHz, act possibly up to 2.8 or 2.7, will have to test.
Ram is 64GB ECC-R, 1600 speed.

I'll get pics up later tonight - gotta start testing it.

Spicy - they and the ram was actually free from a friend, so all I bought was the rest (which was very cheap by comparison). Some of my CPU systems will switch over to boinc as folding goes more CPU, and I'll probably turn off my 4P for the summer.

Nice! And you put the radiator fans in pull. That's a good move, much easier to clean out dust that way.

Yep - they are pulling air out. I know Corsair tells you to push in, but to me one of the big benefits of WC was the ability to pump the heat to the side of the case and blow it out. And with nothing inside the case producing heat (just the motherboard and ram - the psu has its own duct) inside the case is very cool. Also, all the intakes are filtered, so hopefully that will extend the rad cleaning period. Right now, while folding CPU temps are between 40C and 50C which is awesome (max temp is around 90-100C).

That is looking tidy. Nice PPD as well. Shame that they are killing bigadv.

As for my 560TI, they did a replacement so I will sell that off and upgrade eventually. A few more expenses in the meantime before I can fork out for a GPU. How are AMD GPUs running in terms of PPD? Probably looking at a 270X or a GTX760.

Also finally fired up the beast yesterday. New starter motor is working and will hopefully pass a Warrant Of Fitness (a check every 6 months to make sure the car is safe).

I finally got the 65ti boost folding Lubuntu 13.10. Running Nvidia drivers.

I'm a total Linux noob so don't laugh too hard.

Bad news is the 8018's are back for windows.
What monitoring and fan software do you use for Lubuntu?
Nvidia x server shows temperature but no fan control.'

Anyone else notice the upvote system in the forums now. I was super stoked to use it then it says that you have to have a bronze badge to vote.

Well that didn't stop me, i clicked the hell out of that little arrow and up voted someone. Pretty sure I just bugged it out.

Looks like it.

As for bugs, well... at least they seem to have finally fixed the one where anyone could select and deselect Best Answer...

In other news, I finally caved and ordered a new GPU. MSI R9 270. Hope you can still get reasonable PPD on GCN GPUs.

What qualifies as bronze? I'm an OC level blue (Expert? Whatever it is) And I can't vote. 🙁 Sadly, some people here give super idiotic answers so a voting area makes sense.

I liked that. It was on purpose though IIRC so that wrong answers could be deselected. (I did it a few times) Now the voting system seems to have taken over.

Yea, neither have I. I was just browsing some of the live feeds today and saw it. Seems like a good idea for those that see an answer that covers everything. I think that you only need 5 BAs in the subject to vote.

Beano's about, just not Folding🙁

Got an old AthlonX2 setup in the garage as baby Ruby has arrived and wants my office as a bedroom:)

Once things settle down I'll get something set up, feel bad every time I check the stats and see how much effort every one else is still putting in but I'm sure I'll make an appearance again sometime soon.

Keep up the good work team :hello:

Congrat's beano!

Yeah, I think a new baby is an excuse we will accept for not folding

What you've got to embrace is scattering computers all over the house. I've got my gamers in the living room, a 2P behind the TV, and a couple in each bedroom. Get some interesting cases and they are like art.

Beano you just need to set up your folding rigs in the nursery. All the white noise from the fans and the extra warmth should encourage some good naps. 😴😴😴😴😴
