At the moment I'm only running the 970 rig and my Folding is going to be a bit sporadic to say the least because my new pad has one of them nasty pre pay meters and until I get that changed not only am I paying through the nose but if I forget to top it up, lights out! 🙁

You will have two totals displayed on your Stanford page IIRC but you will start at zero on the new team.

And it seems I've hit 50 million points. Even as I've slowed down production because electricity is pricey.

we keep them.i folded for 5 other teams and the points have stayed with them so you wont see them on the total for the other new team.Why are you thinking of leaving?🙁

wish my 980 had a "Ti" at the end of it,looked at buying a second hand HoF 8 pack 980 gtx of E Bay but the guy was asking 300 for it and i bought mine brand new for 320 [was 600 once] and run them in SLI

Back when Folding first started it was 1 point for 1 work unit, nothing like now where you get thousands of points for a work unit.

Depending on what you were running, some could take 8 to 10 days to complete on a fast machine.
I was running a P4 3.0 - 512MB Crucial ram and a 5700Ultra, on an Asus P4P800 motherboard in 2004.
At that time it was single core CPU only, No SMP or Graphics work units.

I had a mate with a Folding Farm, 8 rigs all with oc'd dual core Opterons.

His house was like a Turkish bath:lol:

Can't remember the points but it was like a few thousand ppd, I think at best.

I was running a single rig with a dual core Opty with 2x512MB of DDR400 and used to only dream of producing such points as he was:lol:

It used to take days and days and days to complete wu's and then if you had issues, which were often you would fold for days and then have to start all over again, plus your machine was just terrible to use while folding on the cpu

i started folding on an AMD 4800 dual core.a ge force 128 card [that could play carbon on ULTRA!] and 1gb of 3200 crucial ram .used to hammer that rig

I have 1095 points. I thought it would have been much more by now.. Better find a few more machines to get connected.
