With the lackluster launch of the 4050 8G, only the 3060 12G and 3060 T 8G are in the race.
But then again, we are looking at a 20-30% performance increase. That's not small.
Additionally there's a price difference. The 3060 12G costs 322€ while the 3060 Ti 8G costs 365€. The 4050 costs 430-460€ at best (thought worse ref. brand).
What do you think is the right choice for now and the future. Obviously the budget should stay within 3060 and ti region. The ti is already getting very sharp towards too expensive to justify.
I'll try to get rid of the 2060 for 150€.
EDIT: No AMD cards, specifically NVIDIA.
Context (skip):
The issue is that at 3440x1440 the usual benchmarks don't apply as gains lower. In fact even 1440p benchmarks can't be trusted because the reviewer sometimes don't specify whether they benched 2560- or 3440 x1440.Problem:
Anyway, with 3440x1440 the question is, is a 3060 Ti with only 8GB of VRAM that worth it? I mean The Last of Us is already hogging insane amounts of VRAM, and with current gen consoles already well above 12GB, one has to wonder what the landscape will look like even 1-2 years from now, as game-dev eye both platforms. But then again, we are looking at a 20-30% performance increase. That's not small.
