Question fps drops in most games with good computer specs

I have a Asus PRIME Z370-P, i5 8600k cpu 3.60ghz and Gtx 1070 Ti with 32gb ddr4 3200mhz ram but I get fps drop in most games that i play.
that is games like Black Desert Online,Rust, microdrops in CS GO, Albion Online, Rimworld, AION MMo(with huge lags.) and also some
microdrops in MineCraft. Games that however seem to have worked well for me was Dauntless and Just cause 3.
I have done everything recommended on youtube videos etc. also I turn my computer in for check and they didnt find any error or so they say.
My question is; Is it my system or are the games just mainly badly optimized and my system is sensitive for such games?
Would an upgrade of my GPU and CPU fix this problem? I hope anyone knows. Kind regards,sc777

Online games are notorious for making your pc feel cheap. It is the nature of the beast. Server lag, internet lag, player lag, bad optimization of online game etc. What resolution are you gaming at? Try locking frame rate to refresh rate.

Ok so what are your Nvidia control panel 3d settings when playing online? Do you use afterburner to oc your gpu at all. Cpu overclocked at all? Drivers up to date for gpu and computer? What bios are you using for the motherboard? What windows version. Just trying to get a picture of your pc.

If your refresh rate is 144hz, try locking the frame rate at say 75fps. Experiment with the fps lock settings,and try vsync settings too. Just for online games. Also what type hd do you use,ssd or hd?

If you haven't re-installed Windows in a while, it could simply be bad leftover crud from past drivers and software. I ended up re-installing Windows on my PC last week to resolve sound glitches that had been annoying me for the last couple of months.

hey all thank you for your answers. I have windows 10 and I run the games on SSD.
I ve updated my Bios a while ago.
My CPU or GPU is not overheated and my CPU clocks itself automatically. I have not use oc for CPU or GPU.
I ve recently installed new Nvidia drivers and deleted some programs etc. I think its better now.
but have to check other games as well. Its a very annoying problem.

Last suggestion if I may, set windows power setting to high performance when gaming. That way your cpu does not have to "spool up" to meet demand. At high performance the cpu is running at max speed and ready to meet the demand, with no lag time to keep up.

how is the screen connected to the GPU if not via displayport then I suggest you try it if you have that option.

Ok i have checked my computer and i only have HDMI and DVI-D. however HDMI do not work with my graphics card.......... Might there be a chance if i buy a new DVI-D cable ? Kind regards,shadow

I was mistaken. i have Display port on my computer it was only some button in it so i didnt see it. I will buy a Display port and see if it makes better

Ok quick question: the displayport 1.1a works fine with Gtx 1070 Ti?

Drops remain even if i tried displayport. Maybe best idea is to buy a new system in the future. anyways thanks for your answers. //
