Question FreeSync vía HDMI+ Nvidia GPU

I have a notebook with a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti with only a HDMI port running on the integrated 120hz monitor and now I would like to buy a 24" monitor (Viewsonic Vx2458-c) that runs on 144hz. The question is if the monitor FreeSync spec would work through the HDMI cable or not.
