Hi

I have a Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3H mobo in my HTPC which is now not powering up.
I conducted the paper clip test, and checked out all voltages on the 20+4pin. All were ok, so I know it’s not PSU.

Thing is, I need help with finding a Mobo which is compatible with my setup:

Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Motherboard
*Processor Upgrade : AMD A8-6600K 3.9GHz Quad Core APU + Integrated HD 8570D Graphics
* Processor Cooling Upgrade : Coolermaster Gemin II M4 120mm Low Profile CPU Cooler
*Power Supply Upgrade : Corsair VS450 450W Quiet Power Supply - Recommeded for Graphics Cards up to AMD R7 260X
*Graphics Upgrade : AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 Graphics Card
*Sound Card Upgrade : Onboard 7.1 Surround Sound Audio [Standard Configuration]
*TV Card Upgrade : No TV Card
*Optical Drive Upgrade : Slim 6 x BluRay & DVD Combo
*Hard Drive Upgrade (Boot) : 1TB SATA3 6Gbs Hard Drive [Standard Configuration]
*Hard Drive Upgrade (Additional) : No Additional Hard Drive
*Hard Drive Upgrade (Additional) : No Additional Hard Drive
*Wireless Card Upgrade : No Wireless Card
*Memory Upgrade : Kingston HyperX 16GB [2x8GB] 1600MHz Memory
*Windows Operating System : Microsoft Windows 8.1 Standard 64-bit

I’m not running windows, I’m running openelec, and will take this opportunity to expand storage as well by putting in two more 1tb drives.

Thanks in advance.

A PSU failing a test like this can prove it's dead, but a PSU passing those tests can't prove that it's fine, you'd need an actual load tester to determine if the PSU is really the issue.

Have you tried starting it without the GPU?

So, how can I determine if it’s the PSU or MOBO?

I’ve just removed the GPU and it still won’t boot.

When I turned on the tv, KODI was frozen, so I did a hard reset by holding down the power button for 5 seconds.

After that, the HTPC would not start up.
It is usually on 24/7.
