FX 6300 3.5 sexacore or six core idle and load temps.

I just picked up the mentioned processor and I'm having trouble gauging my temps. I am using stock cooler with stock paste, on start up I get temps of 30 then after all programs load it drops down to 13C idle. When running prime95 it almost instantly jumps to about 40C and slowly but surly keeps increasing, I think I cut it off at 65C and let it cool back down. I have looked around on here about temps for this specific chip, I have also seen the sticky thread about it. My main concern is what program will give me the true temp under load since I'm a little worried about using core temp until I can verify its correct.

13lasteroid i guess your motherboard sensor is woren out..what kind of motherboard you using some motherboard has issues with temperature sensors

970a-g46 I purchased this the same day igot the CPU. The socket temp seems right in bios. About 33-40 idle on bios. Through under p95 the socket temp doesn't seem to rise as much as it should.

It just doesn't make sense idle at 35ish (socket) then only 40ish under p95. Should I get a probe?

Okay with evo 212 and i have applied the factory OC to 3.8 under HWmonitor with prime95 running core temp hit 42C max and socket temp hit 53 max, I ran prime 95 for half an hour.
