Hi there,

I have an old Gigabyte GA-7IXE4 mobo with an Asus GeForce4 V8420 128Meg. My graphic card goes up to AGP4x but my mobo support only up to 2x. The problem is that it is now set at 1x and the manuel doesnt say anything about how to switch to 2x. The only thing it says is "AGP 66 / 133 MHz 3.3V device support"

I went to gigabyte website to have some support and they only say that 66 MHz = AGP 1x and 133MHz = AGP2x.

Someone could please help me out here?

Did you go into your bios? In there, an option should be available to change it to 2x. Look around, you'll find it.

Water cooling is for the weak. Get liquid nitrogen.

Try reinstalling your VIA chipset drivers and when it gets to the AGP port driver, install it in "turbo mode".
