Question GA-AB350-Gaming 3 Rev 1.0 stuck on BIOS splash

SPECS:
GA-AB350-Gaming 3 Rev 1.0
AMD Ryzen 1700
Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce
....


I downloaded F23 from www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-AB350-Gaming-3-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios to a flash drive and updated my motherboard BIOS from F10. I saw the progress bar progressing and walked out of the room.

When I came back I found the screen stuck on the GIGABYTE logo BIOS splash screen.

I have tried every possible permutation of:

• pulling the CMOS battery and waiting 5 minutes / not pulling the CMOS battery
• booting up main BIOS / booting up backup BIOS (confirmed by different motherboard light settings)

When I load up main BIOS i get black screen. When I load up backup BIOS I get the stuck splash screen. Motherboard is out of warranty. What other things can I try before I bite the bullet and order a replacement for an otherwise fantastic motherboard?

no but i'll try that.

you da best . i pulled a ram stick and all the SATA cables and it booted right up.👍😭👍
