Game freezes now and then Maybe because ssd?

Well, as im playing games they seem to jolt, and maybe freeze for like half a second maybe a second and its starting to really get on my nerves, im not sure what the problem is but idk how to find out what it is either, im starting to think its my ssd, is there anyone that can give me advice?

I would try loading all the latest MB drivers and the graphics driver too. Are your memory timings set right? Get the newer versions of MB drivers from the board web site. And the graphics driver at the Nvidia web site.

Your video card is most likely working OK with the FPS you are getting.

EDIT:
What ever the max resolution of your monitor, set that in the game. Anything higher is wasted and can cause conflicts too. Wouldn't hurt to manually set your monitor to those settings too.

Is your system optimized? The same thing was happening to me until I optimized my comp and got all 4 cores & all 8 threads firing. Now I am playing FarCry3 with video maxed out at ultra settings. FPS seems to be between 80 & 160. My system was set at balanced which parked 2 cores at times. can play for hours now and NO flaking out & freezing.

My pc is on maximum peformance, although i dont think it has anything to do with cpu/ gpu because i put the frame rate monitor on on black ops 2 and i was getting a steady 200, and when the game did jolt/jitter the fps didnt drop, so im guessing maybe a faulty ssd? is there any way i can see if it isnt working as well as it should be?

probably something in BIOS like the memory timings. memory speed? Is anything OC'd on your system. If not done right that could cause instability problems like what you are seeing. How old is your PSU? If it is starting to flake out on you, could cause problems too.

Solution
One more solution, SSD working again, i reinstalled windows just on my normal harddrive, took my ssd out, the problem still exists, going to order new RAM and replace my old one to see if it is the ram, if not im screwed, most likely my CPU or GPU, which is annoying :/

Crucial 8GB DDR3 1600mhz ( Single Stick ) - is the ram i have, in the BIOS its set to auto, but this freezing never used to happen it only started happening like last week, since reinstalling windows etc 2 different times, once on ssd, and once not on ssd it still has this problem

Looking at your MB manual, extreme memory profile is on page 19. Also says: "This item is present only when you install a CPU and a memory module that support this feature."

Get the model number of your stick and you may have to set it up manually. The timings are very important. "Auto:" Usually does not cut it.

Did you ever reset the BIOS? When ever a BIOS is reset or flashed, the first thing you should do is go into BIOS and set it all up correctly.

Ok right, iv replaced my bad ram because it caused blue screen at first startup of the day, blue screen no longer happens, iv swapped it for hyper x fury ram and set the timings to 10-10-10-30 and the problem still exists what else could be causing these freezes?

The hyper x memory supports XMP. I would enable xmp profile 1. That should set the memory correctly for your system. Hyperx mem is XMP compatible.

Maybe you need to set optimized defaults first? Always start with optimized defaults, save it and then set up everything else (especially the memory w/ XMP) and then save again.

I know it supports XMP but there is no option on my BIOS for xmp, i know the manual says but there just isnt anything there about xmp, and also i did not build this pc, a company did im trying to get a solution for my problem instead of sending the whole thing back as it would cost alot and cause hassle, but also i dont see why the timings should matter because i have had the pc since the end of july and this freezing only just started happening the other day, it was fine up untill last week,

Your BIOS might be locked. Most major PC sellers lock the BIOS so it is hard to upgrade the system and you probably need to get parts through them. And only a certain type and a smaller number of parts will work. It certainly isn't that the CPU does not support XMP.

Damn, is there any way to unlock it, and also any idea what may be causing these freezes then? as it may not be the ram because it didn't used to happen and only just started happening last week?

I don't know where you purchased from but that is probably where you should start now. Especially with the memory. Send the stick back and ask for another one that works and/or maybe a solution to the problem. If you purchased recently, the whole comp should still be covered. Call or email and see what they say. Also, I would find out if you can get two sticks so you can at least have dual channel memory which would help some with gaming. Makes for more bandwidth.

I dont use the ram they sent to me now, i replaced it with new hyper x ram, so im going to still send that bad ram back to them, but even with the new ram the problem still exists :/
