Hi, i play games on my Asus PG279Q at 2560x1440p 165hz.
I play CSGO at 1440p max settings (with my Gtx 980 ti and i7 4770k 4.8ghz so fps is not a problem).
The game runs very smoothly at 165hz and 165fps+.
But for some reason, when i go down to 1080p (even though the framerate was already higher than 165hz on 1440p) the game feels a bit more responsive.
I don't understand why this would be happening when framerates on both resolutions exceed the refresh rate number.
The answers i am looking for is:
1. Is there a way i can make the game at 1440p feel as responsive as 1080p by fixing something.
2. What could cause the problem, and does more pixels just simply make the game less responsive despite of the fps being above the needed range ?
Thank you in advance!
