[SOLVED] Gaming in 1080p on a 4K monitor?

How much would the picture quality suffer if I were to play 1080p games on a 4K monitor ?
I own a 1080p 144hz display but my PC specs are not good and cannot be improved easily in my country. So i decided to buy a PS4 Pro and replace my monitor with a 4k one instead.
Any tips or useful information ?

No, I haven't bought it yet. That's why I'm asking.

There should be no discernable difference between a 4k monitor outputting at 1080p and a 1080p monitor outputting at 1080p. The issue will be with the refresh rate if you are used to 144hz.

I don't think it would be a problem because, accept for the desktop, I wasn't able to 144hz on any game so...yeah.

You may be surprised. Even 60fps on a 144Hz is better than 60fps at 60Hz.
