Question Gaming PC Build under £700

For me, the ATX build is better. But I would change a couple of things.

Firstly you don't need a cooler. Ryzen 2600 comes with a decent one that will even allow a moderate OC.
Secondly, get 2 x 4 ram kit. With only 1 stick of ram, you are in single channel mode. On Ryzen fast ram counts. But particularly so, so does dual channel (2 x DIMMS). It will give you an extra 10-15% boost in performance and that is specially true for gaming on Ryzen. I'd strongly suggest getting 2 x 8gbs, as 16gb total is the sweetspot. In some games, BF 1/V COD WWII, and most new AAA games they already go over 8gbs system ram usage. Having 16gbs now will prevent some headaches (FPS drops and stuttering) that can occur with only 8gbs.

Thanks just changed it up, so would you think that this is a lot better? https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/QwLfq4
Would use the smaller SSD for windows and the larger one for games, I won’t need a very large one as I only play a few games. Also do you think it’s worth upgrading the MOBO to the ASUS Rog Strix B450-F or keep the MSI one?

If you can spend bit extra this R5 2600 and RTX2060Ti will outperform R5 2600 and RX590 combo by around 40% performance difference on avg. Having 500GB SSD is good and you can add HDD in future if required. All are high quality components.

It's a good compromise, but I would suggest sticking with a min of a 250GB SSD for your boot drive. Windows takes up about 90gbs, and the remaining will be used up quickly. An SSD fully loaded can slow down substantially when it's full.

King Dranzers build is actually quite strong from a gaming point of view. The only downside (but he has mentioned it) is the 500gb SSD will not allow many games/videos etc installed. Having a HDD for games is a good idea. I would add, the PSU is a little on the low side for me. The Seasonic S12II is decent but I'd rather something a bit more powerful, fully moduler, and that will allow you to OC/add more power hungry hardware should you need to.

Something like this:

Often, with budgeted builds there have to be compromises here and there. You have chosen well. What res are you playing at? If it's at 1080p/60hz then the RX590 will stomp all over most games. The RTX2060 may not be needed. It's much better suited to 1440p. Or at least 1080p high hertz.

1 x 8 stick is not a great option here. Dual channel give a lot of extra performance for free! :) Even 2 x 4gbs is a better option. Just sayin...

Forgot to mention that above. I expect OP to add second stick in near future. If OP has no plans on upgrading it soon then yes 2x4GB will be better. It will be even better if OP is able to increase his budget a bit to fit in 2x8GB kit as if he manages to get 16GB kit then no upgrade is required.

Thanks very much for the help guys, I’ll only be doing 1080p 60Hz Gaming, don’t think I’ll be planning to upgrade my monitor anytime soon. So I was thinking this for the final one

And if I decide to at the time I’ll go with the 2060 instead
RTX2060 is a decent leap in performance. If you can afford it will give you best result. If you don't plan on upgrading the build for over long period of time I recommend spending bit extra to get that huge performance gain as it will be more effective over period of time.

Little above the listed budget but is completely worth it.
550W PSU is enough for this build. 650W is not needed.
