Hello: Basically There is no way to tell you exactly where it goes without
knowing the make and model of the motherboard. However all motherboard
label the connection point on the board itself. What you are looking
for is usually located in the lower right hand corner of the board and
in most cases it will be labeled "F_PANEL" for front panel. There will
be one or two rows of metal prongs if there are other items located on
the front such as LED's or a reset switch simply follow the wires because
all the front panel displays and switches are located in the same place..
These prongs will be grouped in 2s 3s and 4s.
The tricky part is reading the small print located near the prongs.
They
will be abbreviated such as +PW-(power switch), +RES- (reset switch), +PWR LED-
(power led indicator), +HD- (hard drive activity indicator).
The + and - don't really apply to the power switch so you don't have to worry about that.
Hope this helps.
