GeForce 2 MX 32-MB video card and detinator driver

Good Day,

I have a problem with the Detinator drivers for windows XP Pro and My Geforce 2 MX 200 32MB (AGP) video card. When I use the defult driver for windows the monitor will shut off automatically after 10 minutes like I want it to. BUT when i use the detinator driver it does not shut my monitor off. Sometimes it goes all wierd and sounds a bit scary. I need the detinator driver to run OPENGL apps like quake 3. Does anyone know how to fix this. I have tried other monitors and with no luck. 32-MB Geforce 2 MX vid card
Windows Xp Pro

Just download the driver from http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=drivers. You may get the latest 29.42 detonatorXp there.

I tried that all ready that is the driver that has been giving me problems. I have even gone to glsetup.com and try to find someting for window XP. I just can't understand why microsoft did not include it. Is anyone out there running the same video card config and driver as me? Thanyou for your help

Ummm....I'm just curious, but do you have the monitor actually plugged into the GF card? With that out of the way. I see no reason for you to be running the default windows drivers, all you have to do is right click on desktop - properties - select screen saver tab - selected advanced - and you can set everything up from in there... Make sure you do a clean install of the 29.42 drivers
