Question Getting less FPS after cleaning the GPU

My PC recently became quite noisy out of the blue, so I decided to clean the dust off the GPU. (I didn't have any FPS drops back then, just the noise)
I cleaned it with the softer side of an earstick, and just around the ribs, I didn't took the card apart. After seating it back I noticed that the noise was gone, the temperatures were good (around 36 Celsius idle-state, around 60 while playing), but I'm experiencing massive FPS drops in every game.
I didn't touch the CPU during the cleaning proccess, just the GPU, and also tried to reseat it like 3 times, but the problem still occurs.
(The GPU is a GeForce GTX 660, and my PSU is somewhat newish)

Any help is well appreciated.
