Hi, so I was looking to upgrade my CPU and Motherboard because they are almost 7 years old at this point and I was going to upgrade my 2-year-old GPU as well, what would be a good upgrade to a GTX 970 for this CPU and Motherboard? Thanks in advance!

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X
Motherboard: ROG STRIX X470-F
Current GPU(As stated above): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

Edit: I should also add that the monitor I'm getting has FreeSync if that matters.

GTX2060 would probably be max I'd go any Ryzen build. Faster GPU will be gimped by Ryzen especially for high FPS. This is just a random chart:

And there is more here:

And here is another chart:

And you can see unless your running 4K and the limiting factor becomes the video card, the you are not going get most out of your video card especially an expensive fast one. For more see:

The reason to go Ryzen is budget and price, so I'd consider the $350 GTX2060 the upper limit on a GPU. You probably get a really good value going for a sub $200 GTX1660.
