Hello, I tried a lot of things, but nothins seems to help me.

Problems:
  • I have stable FPS (150+) with full graphic, on low is possible to go 200+
  • But game feels weird and if I move my mouse - screens doesnt feel smooth (not tearing or laggy, just not smooth)
  • Monitor on 165Mhz, 144Mhz or 120Mhz... I cannot see difference, feels same like 60Mhz
So I post my spec:
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800x3d (watercooling)
  • GTX: MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING Z TRIO 10G LHR, 10GB GDDR6X
  • MB: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
  • RAM: Kingston FURY 32GB KIT DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Beast RGB
  • Storage: Samsung 980 PRO 1TB Heatsink
  • LCD: 27" BenQ Mobiuz EX2710Q (165Mhz - QHD)
  • PSU: Seasonic FOCUS GX - 750W
  • OS: Windows 11 (fresh install)
I read some tips and try them and some combination of them, but nothing helping really:
  1. Run 3DMark stress test: View: https://imgur.com/gallery/bkFpFUH
  2. Fresh install Windows + reinstall all drivers (chipset, GTX, monitor)
  3. Flash BIOS to latest
  4. Set G-Sync On/off, Vertical Sync On/off/fast, latency (basically tried all combination with every possible monitor fresh rate [165-60Mhz])
  5. Tried lock FPS (in nVidia and game and vice versa) under monitor fresh rate to force G-sync works, screen doesnt tearing, but still not feel smooth, also combination with V-sync (on, fast, off), there is no big difference
  6. Did some extended testing, everything seems fine, no FPS drops View: https://imgur.com/gallery/5Rc0Pis
  7. Check all temperatures (GTX under 80, CPU under 60), voltages seems fine too (im not expert)
  8. Set XMP (D.O.C.P.) in BIOS (3200MHz)
  9. Allow or disallow Resize BAR
EDIT: I using cable from monitor (DisplayPort 1.4 I think), trying change GTX slots too

Thanks for any tips, I can provide more information

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Fresh install Windows
Where did you source the installer for the OS?

Flash BIOS to latest
For the sake of relevance, please state the BIOS version. As for the flash, did you clear the CMOS once you've verified the BIOS was flashed successfully?

reinstall all drivers (chipset, GTX, monitor)
Were they all done in an elevated command?

PSU: Seasonic FOCUS GX - 750W
How old is the PSU? Ideally you should've looked into a 1KW reliably built PSU if you were planning to drop an RTX3080 into the build(due to transient load spikes).

Many thanks for answer and tips.

Fresh install Windows
I did clean install on new disk from USB disk (prepared myself from official site MS)

Flash BIOS
I did flash when I installed new CPU, I think exact date is in screen above (27/10/2022 release), BIOS is succesfully updated, I think asus doing clear by default (there is special usb for it) - but I will try after work

PSU
I did some study and 750W should be enough, but it is only "old" component in my new build. I bought it in 6/2019. So I think I will upgrade this component, what you think about Seasonic Prime GX-1300 Gold?

1000w is all you will need for a PSU. Check out the PRIME golds from Seasonic or the RMx or HX PSUs from Corsair.

Yeah, I know. There is only few bucks diffrence for me and I like this brand (no relevant reason, just buying every time from start) and shipping will be today for me. So thats why I decided to buy this one.

DP 1.4 - I doubt that's the issue (as u edited) - cz thats the highest spec supported for 30 series - no dp 2.0 - did u check ur frame time consistency graph, ummm also u mention a RTX 3080 but then go n mention GTX thru entire list.... Which one is it ... But i don't think it's a PSU issue - have u tried all ports (with supported refresh rate n resolution spec), have u tried a different 165Hz monitor - as that monitor might be acting up - also check for any corrosion on the display connections(very unlikely) - also check any output limits set on the gpu in some hidden display adapter settings again - very unlikely

Exact MSI type is wrote above. Monitor is new from factory, seems ok, old monitor acts same. I check everything, but seems not limited nowhere.
