Hello!

I am having an issue with my somewhat new config where the GPU used to run fine for the first month or so, but one day I got no signal to the monitor when I turned my pc on. At first I thought it was my HDMI cable which I've replaced, but to no avail. I then checked if the GPU fans spin when turning the PC on, and they do not (trust me, it's not that my card is too cold for cooling.) I then tried turning my PC off and back on (by holding down the power button,) and by doing so the card came back to life! The next day however, the same issue was present, and it was only getting worse. I had to turn my pc off and on again more and more times (I counted once, I got to 20) and multiple times I thought the card was just dead.

I've tried a multitude of fixes, all of which have failed. These include (but are not limited to):
-taking the card out and putting it back in
-putting the card into another PCIe slot
-changing the ram slots
-checking my PSU connections (and its power)
-switching the PSU cables
-uninstalling and reinstalling graphics drivers (multiple times)
-checking the card on another system
-checking the system with another card (which works fine)
-multiple BIOS tweaks (which required an insane amount of restarts before the card turned on in order for me to access the BIOS)
BIOS tweaks done:
-change the PCIe Gen from "Auto" to "Gen 3"
-enabling fast boot
-updating the BIOS
-resetting the BIOS to factory settings

There is only one fix that worked very temporarily, and that is to reinstall Windows.

What's funny (confusing) is that once the card turns on, it works just fine: no performance issues, no crashing, so I know it's not a PSU problem. The only two things I can blame are God and Windows, but I am still extremely confused and frustrated.

Any insight or question is welcome. Thank you in advance.

Have you tried a CMOS reset? With all the changes you have done, it might just need all of them cleared out. Do you have access to another PSU that you can test on your system? You said you switched the PSU cables. Were these cables the ones that came with the PSU, or were they from another unit?

I have tried the CMOS reset. I also tried out another PSU (850W). And the cables I tried to switch out were from the same unit, just 1x16 pin power connection instead of 2x8 pin.

Not sure what you mean by a 1x16 pin power connection. I have never heard of one, nor does that PSU have it, even if it does exist.

I meant I used a single cable that divides into 2 8(6+2) PCIe connectors. Now that you mention it, it could not have been a part of this unit.
I am currently using 2 separate 8(6+2)pin cables to power my card (one going from the VGA1 on the PSU, the other from the VGA2&CPU.) (one of these)
Sorry for the confusion.
