Hello, the game looks like this on my laptop and it's the only game that has this issue. It also consistently crashes on cutscenes and if I run the game on vulkan using dxvk I can get through the cutscenes but the textures straight up do not render for the most part. Hardware is in a good state(played games last weak while traveling and I just had a long session of baldurs gate 3 just to make sure) and I suspect this issue is related to how the game does the rendering on old architecture gpus like this one. It's to be noted that I'm not the only user with this kind of problems and the game had a pretty rocky launch overall in terms of the port performance (I've seen multiple crashing issues reported as well as rendering issues like this one or ones that cause flashbang effects for example)

I only use this laptop when I'm traveling so I'm not too worried but I'm still curious about the root of this issue. Anyone here knows how this issue could be better tracked? Seems kinda hard since they used a custom engine but maybe somedy has some ideas.

Relevant specs are intel i76700hq and a gtx 960m, I've already discarted disk/file problems since I tried multiple installations on different drives

You might want to pass on the make and model of your laptop and it's SKU.

Check to see if your laptop is pending any BIOS updates. Following that, see if your OS is pending an update. Once done, use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) from your laptop, then manually reinstall with the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Where did you source the installer for the OS?

Hello and thank you for the welcome :giggle:, everything is up to date and I've already tried removing the drivers and reinstalling them just in case. Everything seems to be working fine so it's pretty much this game only, no irregularities at all on anything else. To be honest It might just be a waiting for a patch kinda situation but I'm still curious lol. I forgot to mention but the issue seems to be affecting people with radically different gpus so it might be something else completely, pretty hard to pinpoint.

When talking about installations I meant the game since I've seen faulty installations producing bad rendering before but on this case it doesn't seem to be related to either the files or the drive speed.

I'll post the full system specs from the steam help page here:
