Question Graphics card doesnt work on top slot

hello i have a gtx 1060, asus z170-a and an i5 6600 and my gpu doesnt work on the top slot only the bottom. every other card i had on it works perfectly on the top slot but it doesnt work. can anyone help me?

Just a guess, but it sounds like this would be a problem with the motherboard. If so, it would be related to a pin that is being used on your graphics board that is not being used on your other boards, and the fact that it works on other slots would indicated that the problem is related to the motherboard or at least the slot connector for the top slot on your motherboard. I can't think of how you could prove it other than having another motherboard to try it on.
