Question Graphics card placement ?

On my ASUS X99A-II motherboard I have inserted 2 graphic cards, RTX 2080Ti and RTX4070. I'm using my machine mainly for rendering 3D graphics.

1. Does it matter which PCI slot they are inserted?

2. Which card should be used for the monitor?

Right now, when I'm starting my computer the screen is not turned on but my computer is running. I normally have to turn it off manually and then on the second try the screen is found. It's a weird behavior.

I would advise in running the RTX4070 in stand alone, removing the RTX2080Ti. To add, what is the make and model of your PSU and it's age? Make and model of your monitors?

My PSU is a Corsair 750 and I'm running a 4K BENQ PD Series screen.

Why would you remove the 2080 Ti, it's a workhorse ?

Not enough info, what Corsair 750w and how old? Because if its a CX or a more than 5 year old RM, that may be your issue..

Older than 5 years and RM I would think. What about the PCI for the cards, does it matter the location of these 2 cards?
