which is better Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 0r Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti

I will use them for gaming and will want to eventually buy a second to double up with SLI

Thank You for your honest opinion

Solution
The GTX 570 is the better of the two. When you SLI the the 570's you will have one fast rig. But you might want to wait for the Kepler whichis Nvidias new series. The GTX 680 might be out in February with a good price tag. So it depends on what you want to do.

The 560 ti, 448 is a middle of the road, and with proper OC could reach the 570, but overall the 570 of current cards will win.

If you can wait for next gen - another 1-2 months from rumor - I would do that instead.

I feel inclined to say: DO NOT take the GTX 560Ti-448 if willing to SLI after several months.

This card is a LIMITED edition card and won't be easy to find another one for your SLI.
If you can't wait GTX 570.
If you can wait, let's take about next generation when it comes out.

Have to agree with vitornob, if SLi is seriously on the agenda. It's best they are identical cards (difference companies have difference pcb design after the first iterations of cards)

So chosing the most common allows you to pick a second up more readily (think online auction/freeads if they are no longer sold / rediculously priced)

I have a couple of questions that could help us figure out what might work best for you.

What resolution do you play games at?

Strength (wattage) of your power supply?

If you are playing at 1080p or above, and money isn't too much of a concern, go with the GTX 570. If we are lucky it may go down in price once the new cards are out.

If you are thinking about the 560 448 core and there price tag is about 290 dollars. The 570 is about 350 dollars. Now the rumour has it the GTX 680 is going to be around 399 dollars.

It is up to you eveybody on here has given nothing but very good answers. It all depends on how your budget is and what you feel is right for you. No matter what way you go you are getting a nice card nomatter which way you look at it. Good luck
