Markham, Ontario - what a piece of shit town. I live there, anyone who does can attest to how bad of a place it is besides bubble tea. The only up side was when I'd pass by the AMD and ATi (R.I.P.) buildings :)

I even got to take pictures and make a model in Valve Hammer of the AMD building. It's basically four or five (or six?) square layers rotating bit by bit as you go higher to the top floor with some columns going down the exposed corners.

Yes a few people here hit the nail on the head. One, it's not about size, it's about pixles. 3x 1080p monitors running together has 3x the resolution and picture quality of a single 50 inch 1080p tv or monitor. Then when you turn your game off (Which I assume some people use their PCs for more then just gaming) you get better multitasking power. Also, I'm glad to see more and more people getting over the bezel non-issue, because yes, when you're gaming you don't see the bezels, because your main focus is on the center monitor and your peripheral vision is scanning the side monitors. Not only does no one notice the bezels, it helps greatly in FPS games to see enemies attacking from your sides, and makes racing games feel like you're really in the driver's seat. I love this technology and can't get enough of it. Nice article guys. P.S. Nvidia does a better job 😛

I can see what your saying with a 3 screen set up but the 5 way has lines through the dash in the racing screen shot and with 5 monitors it just seems like all that money could be spent elsewhere. I guess if you have the best mobo CPU combo money will buy and the best GPU out in quad fire sli/crossfire then this would be the only thing left but thats it. I dont care what ppl say 2 lines maybe but those 4 lines going through your game will never be worth it for me

well they almost got it right this time... at least this time they went 5x1 instead of 3x2... Now if they could just figure out to put the monitors in landscape mode they'd be all set. In portrait mode the bezels become too prominent because you see them every 8-10" instead of 16-18"... Just sayin AMD... keep listening to me and I'll get you straightened out ... eventually.

Hmm... looks like it might be time to add two more 30" monitors to my Eyefinity setup. When 12 megapixels just isn't enough... go for 20 megapixels!!

I have try to connector 5 monitor but only 4 monitor can make eyefinity group other one unit blank with black screen. Can you help me on it i really tired to try many time in no result.

Hard to try many time...... hope buddy you can help me..... as you very successful make it. Please......

How do you do this with ati hd6990? It's possible? I have this card and I can´t select de eyefinity configuration 5x1, I can select 4x1 but never 5x1 with any driver!!!

I work at a research center in Spain where they develop simulators, I'm in charge of the hardware, I have several

types of monitors, really, Samsung P2370 and Acer AL1716A and sometimes we mix them. But I think this is not the

problem because I can group them 4x1 (and they are different monitors), but the 5x1 option does not appear in the

list of options. I am just testing, then I will use projectors and I would like this to work with adapters mini-

displayport/vga. The catalyst driver is the lastest version but I tried almost all versions, from 10.2 (before I

tested with the HD5870). I Could test with 5 identical monitors (the 5 Samsung P2370) But I only have 2 diplayport

active adapters, could it work?. Thanks for your help, it's not only for playing, it's for my job.

what it means?

AMD Eyefinity FAQs

Is the 5 x 1 configuration supported?

5x1 configurations are currently not supported. AMD is working on support for 5 monitor configurations which we plan to enable through a future AMD Catalyst™ driver update.

Thank you for your help!

What I don't know is how, if 5x1 configuration is not supported by AMD, how this guy has been able to do this 5 screen configuration as seen above in the article!?
