Handwashing in S2?

You know, I just realized something. In S1, neat sims would
automatically wash their hands after using the toilet, but although I
usually have one sim in a household with maxed out neatness points, I
have *never* had a S2 sim wash their hands afterwards. NEVER. I could
save a lot of money by leaving sinks out of my bathrooms...

Yes, I noticed that a long time ago. However, something I only noticed
recently, in Sims 2 lightbulbs never blow out. Other things break, but
the lights live forever!

And in general I think appliances break too much in the game. It's
ridiculous to have a stereo go on the fritz once a week. Where are they
made, anyway, in the USA?!? ;-)

Quite. I am glad you said that. I skip sinks in small downstairs toilets now
(2x2 has become 1x2 behind the stairs). Hygene doesn;t seem to suffer. Dead
handy.

The only handwashing I ever see is by visitors, usually just before they go
home wanting a shower - and yet there is always that one stinky guest who
just won't go away.

I used to buy a sink in the kitchen so that the Sims can clean their
dishes before getting enough money to buy the machine. Recently I found
out that without means to wash dirty dishes, they simply throw them into
the trash. It's faster than cleaning them by hand, too.

No joke--I once knew someone who worked in a restaurant who told me that
the staff, not wanting to wash the dishes or even stack them in the
dishwaher, did just that when they felt particularly lazy.

I noticed that, too! Wish I had disposable dishes, and clothes, too!
Guess I could invest in paper plates, but it would be too expensive...

Not really :)
I use disposible plates and utensils.....................because I hate
doing dishes that much. Course it is just me here and no dishwasher, human
or otherwise :)
As far as glasses go, I usually have bottles of drink so no need for glasses
:)

I swear my dishwasher saved my marriage - yes, I do really. Best domestic
invention ever, in my book.
Best wishes
