Question Have older drives question.

So i have two old drives that i swapped out of my system when I upgraded. I realized later that I had some files I wanted to get off of said drives. However, I was concerned that loading up these drives would cause conflicts with my current drives as the newer drives have some of the same programs as the older drives did.

Long story short, if i loaded up the 2 old drives (one with an OS on it) will it cause conflicts? All I am doing is loading them up to offload some files and format them to give away.

if you don't boot from it, shouldn't be any issue.
if you worry about it that much, get a external enclosure

The other drive that has some duplicate files to what I have on my new drive shouldn't conflict?

There's nothing to conflict. If you don't boot from it, it will appear just as a storage disk.
