I played the Havish main quest though. Did the
mages guild teleport quest. Did some fighters guild
and mages guild quests. There is mention of a theives
guild. My character is head of the Vvardenfell thieves
guild but can't seem to get into the Havish
thieves guild. Are there theives guild quests?
I'm assuming there is a particular NPC in a
particular location that my character needs to talk to.
google was no help this time 🙁

thanks in advance

Right. There is some Bosmer in the "Kissing Wench" Inn who tries to
pickpocket you (don't remember if you need to initiate dialog for this).
The Kissing Wrench is on the main plaza, opposite of the mages guild.
You have three options here, chose wisely. Two of the options can bring
you into the Havish thieves guild, third option botches it completely
(and no second chance). Should be obvious which option you should not
select, though.
Depending on which of the other two options you chose, the quest
develops slightly different. Either that Bosmer gives you instructions
(one option), or if he does not, check back with the Havish Fighters
guild (the other option).

Generally no bad idea to make an extra savegame before entering the
Kissing Wrench, though you need to try really hard to spoil your chance
to join the guild. However, the trouble is worth it, the Havish Thieves
Guild quests are the best thieves quests I ever saw, and in my humble
opinion better than the Havish main quest - but this doesn't mean I
consider those bad, not at all.

To google before posting is a good thing, but in this case rather try
the file Havish_Hints_Quests.txt, which comes with the Havish download.
I needed it for the second thieves quest, but that might rather prove my
stupidity than the quests complexity.

There is not Havish_hints_Quests.txt in the .rar file of my
Havish download (I checked just now). There is a Havish.txt
but it is a very short blurb on the mod.

I have only had Havish installed a short while, so I can't say
I'm extremely experienced with the mod. But I tried this
quest twice with two different characters. The first time, I
had explored enough of the town to know where the warehouse
was and did not have trouble with getting the goods out....however
no one responded to my attempts to put out the fire. The second
time, a guard was nearby and did respond. I'ad also tried what I
believe is the fighter guild side of the quest and no guard ever
showed up to instruct me. Sigh, I think somehow the timing doesn't
always trigger properly. Besides, there should not be timed
quests in MW. Mutter, mutter, mumble, mutter.

Maybe I'll go looking for earlier downloads of the mod to see
if they have that help file. Maybe it explains the timeing stuff.

I tried the first quest and gave up on the idea. I supposedly was given
3 hours to complete a task before the guards came. Less than a minute
after I snuck into the target area I was told my time was up. After a
number of tries I just wrote the quests off as a bad idea. I don't know
if some other quest I did screwed these up or if it was supposed to work
this way.

Included in Havish_Update_v1.2.rar which I downloaded from the authors
webpage.

About the warehouse quest: I played it three times meanwhile, twice from
the thieves side, once from the fighter guild side. No problems with
this one so far other than the last time I couldn't leave the burning
warehouse without "tcl" cheat in time (that is, without getting killed)
because my videocard cannot cope with the fire animations plus Lights300.
