HD 6870 or waiting for Nvidia 600s ?

My brother was looking to buy a 6870 by the next month or so but now we're woundering if he shouldn't wait for a Nivida 600s going for the same price ?

My brother realy can't pay more then the current price of a 6870 so the question is:

Is waiting for a 600s to be release around the 170$ price tag may worth it ?

So far the HD7700 sells for -20$ but is weaker and the 7850 will be 250$ so out of his price range.

Can we expect the same patern from Nvidia ?

Nvidia has never been a good Price/Performance so I will not hold my breath plus 6870 is still the best Price/performance card and 78xx will not change that.

I doubt theres much reason to hold out on a 6870 as the 6XX series seem to be rather far away and not launching in the same price segment for the speculations.

Really doubt it will fall more than $20 when the 6XX come out in 2 months since its already one of the best performance for price cards out there right now.
