Question HDD not showing up anywhere

so I just built a new pc but I am reusing the old hard drives I have a WD Blue 1 TB and a Samsung Evo SSD with windows on it I tried multiple SATA cables but none worked I can hear the drive spinning but it won't show up anywhere not in bios or in disk manager can the problem be that I need to update the SATA driver from the motherboard website if yes how can I do that I downloaded the file but there is no setup for it like the rest of the drivers

@rgd1101 The problem is with the WD BLUE but the ssd is samsung 850evo 250gb
