HelloHey there,
List your full pc specs please.
What bios are you running on the mobo? You can use CPU-z to dtermine this.
It cannot run xmp,it will BSOD because my psu dont have enough power pin to supply to my motherboard as my technician saysCurrent bios is F11B, so it might be worth updating that, so we can rule it out. Also, make sure to clear CMOS (CLRTC) after the bios update to ensure it takes properly. The bios also has the recommended 'Intel Default Setting'.
Is your ram running in XMP?
Have you tried setting the XMP settings manually? It cannot run xmp,it will BSOD because my psu dont have enough power pin to supply to my motherboard as my technician says
I will try to search in my bios.a local technician in my country says my mobo need more power pin to run xmp and gear 1 which i need to upgrade my power supply.idk if he is true or notIt might have something to do with your mem clock/dram frequency. As I understand it, have a 1:1 ratio with mem clock/fram freq means it's gear 1 mode. A 1:2 ratio means it's gear 2.
Have a look at the options in your mobo.
It cannot,it got blue screen.i already try thatHave you tried setting the XMP settings manually?
This can be a work around sometimes.
You asking me?isnt gear 1 capped at like 4000MHz?
I alrIt cannot,it got blue screen
Which exact PSU do you have? Make and model.
Also, why are you focused on Gear 1/2. What do you think the change will make?
I think gear 1 will increase my perfomance especially in cs 2 and dota 2 .my psu is digital alliance 650w 80+normalWhich exact PSU do you have? Make and model.

I think gear 1 will increase my pc perfomance in gaming like cpu bound dota 2 cs 2 ,now on i,m running on half speed of my ram without xmp which is 2400 mhz ddr 5.Which exact PSU do you have? Make and model.

So I found this on GN, which kinda supports the idea: https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/comments/m67hkb/gn_intel_i711700k_memory_benchmarks_gear_1_vs/It might have something to do with your mem clock/dram frequency. You need a new PSU ASAP!!!! That's a piece of junk, and shouldn't be a gaming PC. Please change it. It might damage your PC.I alr
Looking at the GN video and some internet reddits, it seems the difference between Gear1 and gear 2, is less than 5%. It's not worth the hassle.I think gear 1 will increase my pc perfomance in gaming like cpu bound dota 2 cs 2
right, so the memory controller can be clocked to 2000MHz max (4000MHz DDR)I think gear 1 will increase my pc perfomance in gaming like cpu bound dota 2 cs 2 ,now on i,m running on half speed of my ram without xmp which is 2400 mhz ddr 5.

OK,maybe it become better with non Aaa gamesLooking at the GN video and some internet reddits, it seems the difference between Gear1 and gear 2, is less than 5%. It's not worth the hassle.
Yes, it does impact latency, but not like what you might be thinking.
So no gear 1 for DDR 5 motherboard?right, so the memory controller can be clocked to 2000MHz max (4000MHz DDR)
which rules out DDR5 entirely as they start at 4800 (2400 real), meaning only gear2 and gear 4 are available
if you really weant gear 1, swap mainboard with DDR4 as intel doesnt support gear 1 with DDR5
DDR4 wont improve your performance with gear1 anyway
issue with XMP...that ram should work wonders with 700 serie chipset, no matter revision...are sticks slotted in A2 and B2 slots?
no gear 1 for DDR5 on intel mainboard*So no gear 1 for DDR 5 motherboard?
If i know this on the beginning i dont plan to buy ddr 5 motherboard, but the z690 ddr 4 mobo is already become unavailable in my country.seems its pointlessno gear 1 for DDR5 on intel mainboard*
but even if memory controller runs in 1:2 mode, ddr5 still beats ddr4 in 1:1 modeIf i know this on the beginning i dont plan to buy ddr 5 motherboard, but the z690 ddr 4 mobo is already become unavailable in my country.seems its pointless
I always ask people opinion before buying parts but it seems discussion website always banned me for no reasonno gear 1 for DDR5 on intel mainboard*
I cannot enable xmp which i dont have enough power pin to supply to my mobo.i only have 6000 mhzbut even if memory controller runs in 1:2 mode, ddr5 still beats ddr4 in 1:1 mode
that includes gaming performance..or just bechmarks
