Help:__New Install MSI K7T Pro 2A

New Installation...

MSI K7T Pro 2A
Duron 600
Win 98 (clean new install)
Via Drivers loaded from MSI CD

That's it folks...haven't done another thing!

Problem:
NO PCI SUPPORT AT ALL....none of my PCI cards work..??The system just doesn't recognize any of the slots!

I think the problem lies around an error message:

Windows is searching for PCI serial Controller....

(I can't find this driver anywhere!)

Hurm thats bizarre you could try downloading the via 4-1 drivers from www.via.com.tw and installing them
it might help might not

yes this is strange problem.....I am in the process of re-installing software, I also re-set bios.

So I am starting over....maybe this time I'll get the setting correct!

I will get it right sooner or later

Re-Installed WIN98 then VIA drivers then Modem....
