As mentioned I have an alienware M17xR3 with a GTX980M and intel i7 6820HK.
I have not been able to play games without underclocking via MSI Afterburner for years now. Currently the only way I can play anything is to use the maximum underclock available ( -83 to the core clock and -221 to the mem clock )
CPU Max temp 100C GPU Max temp 88C when playing -- ( this is the third refresh of thermal paste )
If I initialize any game at all without this underclock it instantly freezes my whole system with no log and playing with this underclock is unbearable ( 15-20 fps on low with occasional spikes to 50 fps but only for a brief second )
This is any and every game out there that I've tried
I've had several versions of drivers/ Bios / Windows etc all the same
Any suggestions?
