Hi, mysteriously last night my computer shut down and when I now hit the power button I get nothing. I double checked everything to make sure it was plugged in on the mobo, everything looks fine. I'm not overclocking anything, everything is stock. I've also tried to clear the cmos for the heck of it and still nothing when I hit the power button on the computer case (and the power to the mobo from the power switch are plugged in). I plan on taking out the add on cards and trying that but any other advice would be appreciated!

AMD 64 3200+
Gigabyte K8NS-pro mobo
2x 512mb Geil ram
Creative Audigy Sound Card
ATI x700 256mb ram video

Thanks!!

Probably power supply. What is it? Assuming I'm right, if you're lucky it didn't take anything else with it.

Of course it could be something as simple as a blown fuse or dodgy power cord. Try the one from your monitor.

Assuming the power is getting to the box, a quick check of the PSU would be to unplug it from the motherboard and other components, and use a paperclip to connect the GREEN wire in the main ATX 20 (or 24)-pin plug to any black one (there's one right next to it). If the PSU doesn't start at all then it's definitely screwed.

Thanks for the advice..i'm def starting to think it is the PS.
I've done alot of troubleshooting and the only reason I can think that it would not be the PS is because the led next to my ram comes one when i hit the power button. But still i'll bet your right, must be the power supply.
