I set my desktop (windows 98) as host and my laptop (windows XP) as
guest. After "verifying name.......", I see both computers connected.
BUT I cannot see any file (all files set shared on my desktop). In the
laptop, I cannot find my desktop icon although they are connected! I
go to Microsoft Windows Network in the laptop and click the only
network (hereby ABC). It comes up with a message "ABC is not
accessible. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you
have access permissions."
If I disconnect the DCC, I can access ABC network and of course, I
only saw my laptop name. If I connected with DCC, it will show above
message.
I have another laptop running windows ME and it connects with the
desktop through DCC without any problem.
I have tried several times at this newly bought windows XP laptop but
only see it connects to the desktop but no way to transfer files
because I cannot find the desktop icon or desktop shared files.
Please help me!!
