help me decide?

I have a Dell 8100 P4 2.6gHz Powerleaped (2/4x AGP), 640mb RDRAM, AIW 8500, Sony 8x DVD+-RW, Samsung 19" CRT

I would like to upgrade my current video card to something that will allow me to view HDTV OA and also upgrade my gaming graphics. I am not partial to ATi or NVidia. I have owned both.

What I'm looking at is the Nvidia 5200 FX that I think supports 4X AGP and the HDTV Wonder. I have looked at the ATI 9800 also.


What is the best bang for the buck?

My budget is $125 for the vid card not including the HDTV Wonder.

my mobo is 2/4x AGP, the 6600GT looks to be 8X only 🙁

any other ideas?


edit: or is it backwards compatible with 4x?

I also have a limiting factor in that my power supply is only 250 watts. 🙁

If you like the 6600 go for it. They are backward compatable to 4x.
