Help on upgrade

I have a k8n neo4 mobo and i alreayd have 1 gig of ram in it. (2x512)

I was wondering if i could also add another 1 gb stick so i would have 2 gigs (1x1gb and 2x512). I was jsut wodnerign if there would be any complications doing so.

Some boards have problems with 3 DIMMs. I'd get either 2x 512MB modules or 2x 1GB modules.

Is it like the two beside eachother is dual channel or the 2 green makes it dual channel. Also why is dual channel (2x512) faster than just a 1 gb stick.

ya its probably the 2 same color slots that will form the dual channel

2x512 dual channel is better than 1GB on 1 chip its because the 2x512 chips will work together. its like if 2 pencils where writing on the same sheet at once instead of just 1, so its a lot faster
