Question HELP PLEASE ASUS VG248QE DVI NO SIGNAL

I recently bought the nzxt starter pc and i have an asus vg248qe and when i plug in the dvi port it says no signal. but when i plug in an hdmi cable into the gpu it works fine. i want to play at 144hz but with hdmi it limits me to 60 please help me i am new to this pc stuff lol. (there is noi dvi slot on the gpu)

System specs? Since the gpu has no DVI port I'd assume you are plugging it into the motherboard? Depending on the system the ports on the motherboard could be non functional. That monitor has a Displayport and might be your only option.

The Ryzen 5 2600 has no igpu so the ports on the motherboard are useless. The GTX 1660 has Displayport as does the monitor so you'll need a displayport cable to get 1080@144hz.

Ok thank you i was freaking out for about 20 minutes lol. do you know if they sell display ports at stores or can you only order them online??

Depends on your area I guess. A local shop would be the quickest(but likely not cheapest) way to get one, assuming they are available.

One last question sorry for being annoying. are all display ports the same like are they all equally powerful if thats even a thing?
