Help with power-up without usin power/reset button

my hp m7750n desk top will not power up using the power up/reset button. I did go into control panel, before shutting it down and played with and adjusted settings for power save features and I believe I reconfigured the power up function. How would I power up my comp without using the reset/power button on front of desktop comp? There is no functionality with that button now.

Hello chanrob;

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Or you could remove the AC power cord for a couple minutes.
Then power on and see if you can boot up.
