I recently bought an M.2 480 Pro SSD without a heatsink, and I'm using it with my MSI B660M Mortar motherboard. Since installing this SSD, I’ve noticed a few issues:
- High Temperature: In idle, the SSD temperature is between 45-55°C, and under load, it goes up to around 70°C. I’ve seen similar SSDs on YouTube with a max temperature of 50°C under load. My motherboard has a heatsink with thermal paste, but the temperature still seems high. Do you think this temperature is excessive, or am I just being overly cautious? The MSI website mentions a safe temperature up to 80°C, but I’m still concerned.
- Increased CPU Usage: Since installing the SSD, I’ve noticed that my CPU usage sometimes spikes to 100% in certain applications. I previously used a Western Digital Green SSD and didn’t experience this issue. Is this normal?
