How can I connect to the internet through another computer??

I brought my laptop to work and want to use that because its running XP and my crappy work computer is running Win 2000.
I can't just plug my laptop into the ethernet here because my laptop isn't authorized ot something but is there a way to get internet on my laptop by plugging in through the work computer???

You might be able to do it though I don't know how but I don't think I'd do it, unless your looking to change jobs. Talk to your boss and convince him there are good Work reasons to connect the laptop to the company's network and then get one of your IT people do it. If your boss doesn't buy it, then your likely to get fired if you do. There are really legit reasons for businesses to control who and what has access to their network.

OK, thanks. I'm just an intern right now since I'm in law school so I have little chance of being fired.

I'll ask IT and see what they say.

Prabably getting busted for cracking a business network wouldn't be a good career move for a budding attorney. 😀
