First you need a second connection for the 2nd monitor (PCI board with one or two connections. Once installed, refer to this MS How to article.

Will probably need an add-on video card. Almost all of them support dual-monitors. To get 3 you'd need a higher-end video card or two separate ones. In some computers, the onboard video works with an add-one card, but may disable itself in others.
