how do I fix 12gb of ram but only 6.94gb usable

how do I fix 12gb of ram but only 6.94gb usable
whrn I go into the bios in MIT it says
slot 1 2046mb slot 2 2046 slot 3 4046
slot 4 4046
enabled slot 1 - slot 2- slot 3 4046 slot 4 4046
total ram 8gb

but it just says its not enabled it still knows its there it just needs enabling

You don't normally need to enable ram, ever. There is no way to turn it on and off except for the memory limit in msconfig.

I need to know, you said at one point you had only 2 corsair 4gb modules in only and it said 8gb, what configuration was that (which slots)?

And if you put the same 2 ram modules in slots 1 and 2 only does it give you the same result?

Ok, glad we can clear all that up.

So what this tells me is you have a bad memory channel in your motherboard. Unfortunately this is not repairable. You will need to replace the motherboard.
