I have a 6800 GT, and one of my fav. games is halo. But i noticed that it is not running on Pixel shader 2.0 because I am missing some effects, like the cloke does not have the cool glassy affect my 9800 has, it looks translucent like a dimmed out icon on the desktop instead, I read on Guru3d that they forced Pixel shader 2.0 on because the game defaults to 1.1 for nvidia cards because of the FX's performance.
