Hello to everyone,

This is my first time posting a question here and I thank you in advance for your time and possible advise.

My system specs are:

Phenom II x3 720 BE overclocked to 3.2ghz

4gigs ddr 2 ram

Biostar TA790gx 128m mobo

and a GTX 260 core192

650 watt Antec Greenwatts PSU

Monitor resolution 1920 x 1080

I was considering upgrading my GPU to a Radeon 6950 or 6970. Would my current CPU bottleneck either of these cards, and if so, as an alternative to the GPUs that I mentioned what card would give me the most performance increase possible for gaming in this system?

Thanks again to everyone for their time and consideration.

Solution
For gaming, you should be OK. The Phenom II CPU's are plenty powerful in a gaming rig, especially when overclocked. I would recommend the 6950 over the 6970; it's better value for money if you look at price vs performance.
