How do I reduce ping?

Hi, I just got a new internet from Comcast, my results on speedtest.net are
Ping: 9ms / Download speed: 25mbps / Upload speed: 3mbps
But my results on pingtest.net says that I have over 100+ ping and very high jitter. I'm playing online on my PS3 and playing with a higher ping than 100 takes a long time to find games and hard lag. Any help will be greatly appreciated :]

Depends how close servers are to your central area. For example League of Legends, european players who play on U.S. servers will have pings over 100. So it depends on the servers and where it is located.
