It's mostly for gaming but I might do a bit of editing and work. And does the 7800x3D really give that much more performance compared to the 7700x for 200 more dollars?

It's the best gaming CPU. By how much you'd need to research. Prices have been up and down lately due to the 9000 series release.

Yes. By the way, you can nearly fit in a 7900 XTX instead of a 4070 ti super.
