How good is CHIMEI?

I've never heard of this brand before (haven't really researched monitors before though) but it has great reviews and I love the specs.

Vast majority of LCD panels are from only 4 or 5 makers. This is likely one of those and has a 3-year warranty. With the good Newegg reviews, no real reason to avoid.

CHIMEI is a worse choice to choose if you want to save a few bucks

they use the same technology like the popular brand names

but their materials quality is low,if you don't want that your monitor will

play dead on you after a few months don't buy it.

because i had one and it didn't last even a year.

Well, the panel, at least, seems to be good enough for Samsung...

None the less, sounds like that "S" vs. "A" panel-war over Samsung's 226BW... .
