how hot do athlon c's run

have a duron 800 and was wondering the temp. of the new athon c?

They should run close to the same and an equaly clocked B athlon maybe a few deg cooler but I would not think much cooler.

So i guess the copper core is only advantage is that copper dissapates heat better than aluminum cores?

yeah, copper carries heat better then aluminium

Copper does not dissapate better than aluminum. However, it does TRANSFER heat a lot better. You'll notice the best heatsinks have a hybrid of aluminum and copper. The copper plate transfers the heat faster to the aluminum fins on the heatsink. Also, you'll notice that ALL copper heatsinks suck in performance because they retain heat.

Ah, in my vocab dissipates=transfers. I meant that the heat travels through copper much faster to the fan. If you have a 7000K RPM Delta fan on a copper heatsink, the copper won't be retaining the heat for long!
