Question How long before a newly released laptop is available refurbished?

So I have my eyes set on the 2019 Acer Predator Helios 300 (1660 Ti model). I need to have the laptop before the school year starts (mid August) and would prefer to save a couple hundred by getting it refurbished. It was announced at Acer's show a couple months ago, and started selling at the start of this month. Will I have to get it new?

Refurbished units come to be when the seller gets a unit returned and/or the unit has an issue they don't know what's wrong with it but it works fine in most instances. That being said, it's possible the laptop in question might be found refurbished after a month of release or near the end of this year or maybe the end of this laptop's useful product life cycle or never at all. Perhaps be patient with the release and if you're cutting it thin when school starts, buy the best priced unit out there brand new.
